After the successful creation of Babeque's school garden several months ago, it was finally time for the students to harvest their vegetables and make a delicious, fresh and healthy salad. Through this activity, students will learn that with persistence, care and teamwork the can produce their own healthy and organic food for the wellbeing of the school community.
Since its inception the program has created a total of 26 vegetable gardens across the country in the provinces of Santo Domingo, Santiago, San Cristobal, Baní, Monte Plata, and Azua.
